It all started when I was 17 years old.

camping outside of Nike Town at 3am…

spending hours researching and studying the latest trends…

making niketalk.com my home…

spending thousands of dollars on sneakers…

this was my life for 6 years.

now you know…!

more and more I am missing Seattle. Everyday I think about the beauty that rests in the Emerald City. I am reminded of child hood memories… best friends… dreams… and the sun-less skies.

Someday I will return to you.

“THERE IS A RISK INVOLVED IN SEEKING A SPONTANEOUS MOVEMENT. WE MUST TRUST GOD TO DO HIS PART. WE MUST BE WILLING TO PLACE OURSELVES IN A POSITION WHERE, IF HE DOES NOT SHOW UP, WE WILL BE SEEN AS COMPLETE FOOLS. MOST HAVE NOT BEEN WILLING TO TAKE THAT RISK. WE ARE OFTEN AFRAID THAT GOD’S REPUTATION WILL BE TARNISHED. THIS FEAR IS NOT FROM HEAVEN BUT FROM HELL. WE WILL NEVER SEE THE DRAMATIC POWER OF GOD IF WE ARE TOO AFRAID TO BE PLACED IN A POSITION THAT REQUIRES HIS DELIVERANCE. WE WILL NEVER WITNESS THE SEA PART IF WE DON’T TAKE THE ROAD THAT DEAD-ENDS AT THE BEACH WHILE THE ENEMY’S FORCES ARE BREATHING DOWN OUR NECKS.”

As of two days ago I accepted a position at a local church here in town.

I am so excited and can’t wait to see what this new season brings to my life. Working with Jr. High is going to be an adventure. It’s going to stretch me, encourage me, humble me, and teach me how little I know about a life of Ministry.

I mean shoot… look at Peter and John. By the worlds standards they were not qualified to be doing what they were doing… But one thing stands out with these two men. “… that these men had been with Jesus…”. That is the only qualification we need to steward people into the Kingdom. And fortunately, by His grace… Christ is in me. So I guess there is a lil hope… ha.

This transition has been a struggle for me because it means that I am leaving a family I love and entering a new family; a family which is vastly different than my old family. I couldn’t be more grateful to the Men of God who have trained, instructed, and schooled me in the way of Jesus. You guys know who you are… and I am so thankful. I look forward to our continued relationships, knowing that we are all living to see His Kingdom come here on earth.

As for now… I am seeking the Lord for what He wants to do with these young men and women. It is exciting to dream about the direction that this next year is going to go.

Welp… that’s all I got for now. Love you all.

I am currently sitting in a beloved coffee shop of mine. I am staring out the window watching the rain putter on to the pavement. Beatles are on in the background. Double cappuccino in my hand and a wonderful new book in my lap.

These are the days when I dream…

I dream about all I want to accomplish in my life. All the places I want to visit. Where I will be in 10 years…

I am a dreamer.

Thank you for rain. For coffee. For the Beatles. Thank you for dreaming through me.

Today is a Kingdom day… a Heaven on earth day.

I want to begin documenting my life.

Videos. Pictures. Journals.

Something to give my kids… Something to give my parents since they don’t see me that often… Something to show my amazing friends in Seattle.

What I need…? Not much really… I got the camera. I got the journal. Bud i do need the video device.

So this is what I am saving up for…

I have been struggling lately with how to respond to the needs of others…

As I read scripture I see that God’s heart is for the oppreseed, marginalized, poor, sick, and needy. He even goes on to destroy cities because of their lack of attention to the poor and needy. I never knew that about Sodom… I always thought they were destroyed because of their sexual immorality…. NOPE!.. check this:

“Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.” EZEKIAL 16:49-50

WOAH… So, not helping the poor and needy is a sin?? I guess so… and I guess It is a sin that I am committing quite often.

I don’t know how to do this… help the oppressed that is. But i NEED to.

No more excuses…

It has been almost four weeks since my last blog. Not cool, I know. BUT… I am back, hopefully. You see with all these other social networking avenues (facebook, twitter, wordpress, etc..) it’s quite hard to keep up with all of them. And not to mention, the business of my schedule is somewhat outrageous.

So lets forget all the excuses. What has Christian been up to?

One: I am currently working the morning shift at Starbucks. This means 4:45am wake up calls every morning. Yah.. I go to bed at 9:30pm. I feel 80 years old.

Two: I have 3 great roommates. I couldn’t be more blessed with my living situation.

Three: The heat has made it’s appearance in Redding. Yesterday was 106… yikes. This is gonna be a rough summer.

Four: Lastly.. some exciting transition might be happening here in a few weeks. I will make sure to keep you all updated as the date approaches.

Thanks for reading everyone. Sorry for the absence. I’ll be back.
